Main Goal

On the initiative of the Pankow migrant organizations, the Lingua Pankow working group has existed in the district since 2015. He is accompanied by the integration officer. The aim is to promote multilingualism in the district, to inform the Pankow population about the topic and to draw public attention to the advantages of multilingualism.

January 26, 1:00–3:00 p.m.: Annual planning and brainstorming for the celebration of International Mother Language Day, in collaboration with the Working Group on Multilingualism of the Integration Council.
February 21, 2022, 6:00–9:00 p.m.: Event – Mother Language Day
March 23, 1-3 p.m.:1. Exchange and cooperation with the youth welfare office. With Angela Schneider (working group diversity-oriented opening - Pankow Youth Welfare Office) / 2. News (Ukraine crisis and MSOs Engagement)
April 27, 1-3 p.m.:Exchange with SenBJF "Current status of efforts to teach first and native languages". Speakers: Mr. Hamprecht and team
May 25, 1-3 p.m.:Kulturamt Pankow: INFO Funding programs for cultural projects. Speaker: Ms. Alexandra Heyen (Office for Further Education Culture, Department of Art and Culture - BA Pankow)
June 22, 1-3 p.m.:Future workshop in attendance - (Sources d´Espoir eV)
July–August: The publication of the document “Guide for Parent Meetings in Kitas before School Enrollment” marked a significant milestone.
Thanks to the “Generation AFRO” project by Sources d’Espoir e.V., the document is now being distributed throughout Berlin.
August 24, 1-3 p.m.:Presentation of the project MigraUp! decolonial and intersectional. In the town hall of Pankow.
September 28, 1-3 p.m.:Evaluation specialist day
19 October, 1-3 p.m.:Introduction to the Decolonial Perspective (Migra Up)
